Bill Clinton in 1992 was the last Democratic presidential nominee to carry Montana. Barack Obama made a strong but ultimately unsuccessful bid for Montana’s electoral votes in 2008, though he did hold John McCain under 50%. See 2020 primary results
MONTANA
This measure legalizes the use and possession of limited amounts of marijuana by adults over 21. It also requires the state to license and regulate the production and sale of marijuana and establishes a 20% tax on non-medical marijuana. The measure also allows people serving sentences for certain marijuana crimes to apply for resentencing or expungement.
