The Bilt Mastercard? (see?rates and fees) has been incredibly popular since its inception in 2021. With a top-notch travel rewards program and the opportunity to earn points on rent with no transaction fees (up to 100,000 points per calendar year), it’s no surprise the card has flourished over the past few years.
In addition, Bilt Rewards —?the loyalty program behind the Bilt Mastercard — offers lucrative promotions throughout the year, with the most popular known as Rent Day.
With Bilt’s Rent Day promotion —?which runs the first of every month — card members earn double points on all purchases (excluding rent) and can take advantage of a unique promotion that changes every month. Bilt typically announces these promotions just a few days before Rent Day.
Bilt Rewards just announced the September edition of its monthly Rent Day promotion, and with four different unique offers, Bilt members should be more than pleased.
With September’s Rent Day promotion, you can take receive bonus points when transferring your Bilt points to both Avianca LifeMiles and Virgin Red. When transferring to Avianca LifeMiles, all members will receive a 50% bonus. And for those interested in increasing their Virgin Points bonus, members can receive up to a 100% bonus —?with the bonus amount depending on your Bilt Rewards status.
Additionally, Bilt is bringing back it’s Virgin Voyages cruise offer from last month where if you book a cruise, the second guest in your room can join for free. Additionally, guests will receive special onboard benefits simply by being a Bilt member.
And lastly, with Bilt’s new partnership with ResortPass, you can book a day pass and bring a friend for free. This buy-one-get-one experience will allow you to ultimately enjoy a pool or spa day for less at over 1,600 participating properties.
Transfer your points to Avianca LifeMiles with a 50% bonus
On September 1 —?Rent Day —?Bilt Rewards members can transfer their Bilt Reward points to Avianca LifeMiles and receive a 50% bonus. Points can be transferred in increments of 1,000 points and there’s no maximum number of points that can be transferred with this offer.
Avianca Airlines is a Colombian airline based in South America, with hubs in Colombia (Bogota) and El Salvador (San Salvador and Guatemala City). For those looking to visit South America and even Central America and Mexico, this could be a great offer to consider.
Additionally, Avianca LifeMiles is part of the Star Alliance program, which means you can also redeem your points with partners like United Airlines and Air Canada.
For example, a flight from New York-JFK to Frankfurt, Germany is 35,000 miles one-way in economy on partner airline Lufthansa. And since the program doesn’t impose fuel surcharges, the taxes/fees are incredibly low at just $27 for this flight. With the 50% transfer bonus taken into consideration, this flight requires just you to transfer over just 24,000 Bilt points.
Transfer your points to Virgin Points with up to a 100% bonus
Also on Rent Day, Bilt Reward members can transfer their Bilt points to Virgin Red with up to a 100% bonus. The transfer bonus offer depends on each individual’s Bilt status on September 1.
- Bilt Platinum Members = 100% transfer bonus
- Bilt Gold Members = 60% transfer bonus
- Bilt Silver Members = 40% transfer bonus
- Bilt Blue Members = 20% transfer bonus
Virgin Atlantic is a London-based carrier, making it incredibly easy to use your points to visit the UK or the rest of Europe.
With Virgin Atlantic, one of the best ways to redeem your points are on flights from the United States to/from London. However, you’ll want to know that taxes/fees are quite high. While flights are 10,000 points one-way on this route —?in economy —?you’ll find that Virgin many times offers point sales where might even be able to snag a flight for even less.
And similarly to many other international programs, the airline is part of the SkyTeam alliance, allowing you to redeem your points on partner airlines, such as Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico. There are mileage-based award charts for most partners, with economy class Delta flights starting at 7,500 miles one-way.
While booking flights on Virgin Atlantic is incredibly easy, it’s important to note that not all partner airlines and award availability appear on their site. Only?Air France/KLM, China Airlines,?Delta, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines and Xiamen Air can be booked online —?for the rest, you’ll need to call Virgin Atlantic to book.

This event takes place on September 14 on Randall’s Island in New York, NY, where there are two ticket options. The afternoon session runs from 12pm to 4pm and costs $250 per person or 7,500 Bilt points, while the evening session runs from 6:30pm to 10pm and costs $150 per person or 5,000 Bilt points.
