Away has been dropping a ton of new limited-edition bags and accessories, colorways, finishes (hello, gloss!) and collections over the past year, but now the incredibly popular travel brand has given its entire core collection an overhaul with the introduction of new colors and styles that’ll be part of the permanent line going forward. Plus, there’s a brand-new checked luggage style that’s extremely on-trend and ready to shop.
The seven new colorways replace the old tones you know with some stylish new shades and fresh spins on classics. You’ll find Olive, Chili, Persimmon, Seafoam, Salt, Wave and Garnet in the lineup as well as three colors from the old line (black, navy and Coast). A gloss finish in select colors is also joining the lineup as a contrast to Away’s signature matte finish.
The suitcase design has also been tweaked based on customer feedback and interviews: Handles are easier to grip and lift, and they lay flatter against the suitcase; the telescopic trolley handle is more stable; and another recessed handle has been added to the suitcase’s underside (which will be helpful at baggage claim).
The luggage tag and interior of the suitcase now match the exterior color for a monochrome look, and the inside now boasts stronger compression straps and three new pockets, plus a bigger laundry bag.
And while these changes pertain to the suitcases you know already — The Carry-On, The Bigger Carry-On, The Medium and The Large — there’s also a new style joining the lineup. Enter The Trunk, which has a 30/70 split construction, meaning you can pack larger or bulkier items more easily on the deeper side. Inside, it’s similar to The Medium and The Large checked bags.
Away’s first new hard-shell suitcase release in years, The Trunk is here to tackle your biggest packing jobs, thanks to its 30/70 split construction and massive size.
Shop the entire redesigned core collection over at Away now while the styles and new shades you’re coveting are still in stock.
