The NFL season ended in thrilling fashion Sunday, with the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Super Bowl LVIII. It was just the second Super Bowl in history to go to overtime.

The Chiefs are the first team to win consecutive Super Bowls since New England in 2005. They have played in four of the past five Super Bowls, winning three of them.

Sunday's game ended on a 3-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes to Mecole Hardman Jr. Mahomes, with 333 passing yards, 66 rushing yards and two touchdown passes, was named Super Bowl MVP for the third time in his career.
