Zlatan Ibrahmovic was the star of the show as Paris Saint-Germain booked its place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The forward scored one and set up the other in a 2-1 win at Chelsea.

This was the third time in three years that the two clubs had met in the knockout phase of the competition. PSG, which triumphed last year, won the first leg of this last-16 tie 2-1 in Paris three weeks ago.

The French champion took the lead on the night through Adrien Rabiot with the young midfielder firing home at the far post after neat work by Ibrahimovic.

The visitors celebrated stretching its advantage but was soon under pressure as Chelsea fought back to level the contest on the night.

Diego Costa produced an exquisite turn before firing home from the edge of the penalty area as Chelsea briefly threatened to overturn the deficit.

Chelsea pushed forward in search of a way back into the game but with 23 minutes remaining, Ibrahimovic pounced to send PSG into the last eight after great work by Angel Di Maria.
