Team GB gymnast Beth Tweddle had to pull out of reality TV ski show "The Jump" after breaking her neck following a failed landing.

The London 2012 bronze medalist was airlifted to hospital and had surgery to fuse together two vertebrae in her neck using a piece of hipbone.

Tweddle has since "moved her hands and feet" and thanked her fans and well-wishers, admitting the 48 hours since her injury had been "very scary."

It's not the first time Tweddle has entered a celebrity reality show. In 2013, she won "Dancing on Ice" with professional skating partner Daniel Whiston.

Fellow Team GB Olympian Rebecca Adlington was another to exit the show after dislocating her shoulder attempting a jump. She described the pain as "worse than childbirth."
