
Fans from many of the 16 competing countries were out in force over the weekend to cheer on their side at this year's Wellington Sevens. New Zealand's Sonny Bill Williams delighted some spectators by taking a selfie following the All Blacks' dramatic last-gasp victory against South Africa.

About 30,000 fans turned up over the two days to cheer on the teams. While numbers were not close to filling the Westpac Stadium's capacity of 34,500, the crowd was its usual colorful, creative, chaotic self.

Some New Zealand fans celebrated with the trophy after the final. The All Blacks Sevens sealed the title with an incredible comeback win, having trailed South Africa 14-0, as Joe Webber went over at the death to triumph 24-21.

Fans of Scotland -- the country that invented the sevens version of the game -- donned traditional outfits to support their team. Scotland lost 19-7 against Samoa in the Bowl Final.

Some fans were in a generous mood on Sunday...

And France's Arthur Retiere was happy to oblige following his team's 14-7 win over Russia in the Shield Final.

Fiji, beaten in the cup semifinal by South Africa, was cheered on by passionate fans. The Pacific Island team is second in the overall standings.

Fiji, which won the opening round in Dubai last year, reached the last four by defeating the United States 21-12.

Kiwi fans sing their national anthem before kickoff. This was the last year on Wellington's contract as host city for a leg of the Sevens World Series. Officials are yet to decide which New Zealand venue will stage the event going forward.
